ABOUT DR. JORDAN
I am a compassionate, Board Certified Adult psychiatrist with experience treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions. I love what I do, and I feel lucky to be able to work collaboratively with individuals facing unique and complex challenges at all stages of life. As there is no one-size-fits-all solution in psychiatry, my goal is to work together to help you better understand yourself, your symptoms, and any dysfunctional patterns that may have kept you stuck. Tailoring a treatment plan unique to your needs sometimes involves medications, sometimes therapy, and sometimes a combination of the two. Rest assured that my goal is to get to know you, not just your symptoms, and to present safe, evidence-based and effective treatment options for us to discuss together.
SPECIALTIES
I have experience treating the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders and trauma. As a mom of three myself, and a physician committed to the treatment of women's health, I am honored to provide services sensitive to the needs of the different life stages of women, including pregnancy and the postpartum period. I also have a dedication to providing services to physicians and other health professionals, who are often serving others but finding it hard to care deeply for themselves.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in anthropology at U.C. Berkeley, and went on to attend medical school at U.C. Irvine. My residency was done at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, where I served as chief resident during my final year of training. I have worked over the years in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, student mental health clinics, and eating disorder programs. I am happy to be back in my hometown of Sacramento, CA!
